After completion of a BA in Liberal Studies, Dr. Bill pursued a teaching credential in Multiple Subjects Education. From there she obtained a Masters in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and became a licensed clinical psychologist meeting all requirements in the state of California. Dr. Bill completed her doctoral dissertation on ‘Adoptee Separation Trauma: From the Womb’, which led to attachment based research. Post graduate Training included two certifications in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies and Newport Psychoanalytic Institute.

Dr. Bill’s clinical training experience has included school based mental health programs, advocating for children with learning disabilities, counseling adoptive parents and birth parents through the adoptive process, individual psychotherapy with adoptees, Theraplay Level 1 Training, therapy with maladaptive behavioral adolescents in a hospital setting, supervision training for adults, supervised training with seniors with a focus on neuropsychology, supervision by senior training psychoanalysts and completion of her own psychoanalysis.
